OUR MISSIONThe mission of the High School of Computers and Technology is to create an environment where all students can learn, enabling them to graduate with a CTE-endorsed Regents Diploma and a foundation to further their education in college and/or technical school. Our guiding principles for both students and staff center around mutual respect, understanding, value for community and a quest for knowledge. Our instructional principles emphasize rigor through CCLS-aligned curriculum, intensive college and career readiness programs and hands-on learning that utilizes real world examples. At the High School of Computers and Technology we strive to create student-centered classrooms and pedagogues who practice discovery learning, multiple styles of formative assessment and cross-disciplinary projects and connections. By implementing the point-of-entry model we aim to serve our students and challenge them to grow into stronger learners and productive members of society.

Acceptable uniforms consist of navy blue pants (or skirts, for females) and light blue collared shirts (either a polo or button-down style) without a logo. Unacceptable apparel includes hoodies, coats, shorts, hats, and anything of a revealing nature.
Occasionally, as a reward, students will be given a "dress down day." On these days, hoodies, coats, hats, and shorts are still unacceptable. team structureHSCT is structured by grade teams, led by a grade team leader and supported by an Assistant Principal. Teachers in grade teams meet daily from 11:15-11:50 to discuss student concerns and other administrative and instructional issues. Teachers may contact parents to arrange meetings during this time, and parents are welcome to reach out to team leaders to arrange meetings to discuss their students' progress. You can find contact information for teachers and team leaders on the Contact Us page.
